The Director Workflow module is an electronic document routing system empowering you to process
work more efficiently, quickly and accurately than with traditional paper processing. Workflow
puts you in command of electronic documents allowing you to track the progress of documents
and perform tasks on documents throughout the process; including document approval, electronic
notes, and document modifications. Workflow streamlines the transition of documents and accelerates the completion of critical business tasks. Documents once hand carried between departments or sent
by courier between branches can now be delivered electronically in seconds, making your entire organization more efficient.
The goal of the Workflow module is not to change your business process, but to give you the tools
to perform your normal business process within Director without leaving your office. Using Workflow you can fully tie together multiple business documents into one single process that tracks and stores
the information. Workflow facilitates the movement of documents through all steps in any department
and helps manage paper flow. Director Workflow allows you to check on the status of a document
at any time. Additionally, documents tracked electronically may have comments attached for others
to view. It also has exception handling, such as activity timers, that prevents a document from sitting
idle at a person's desktop.
